Ist denn eigentlich bekannt, mit was für Reifen BMW die 1200 GT als Erstaustattung bereift..

Alle K1200GT auf den Messen sind bis jetzt mit Bridgestone BT 020 ausgestattet gewesen.

"Alle" ist gut. So viele gibts noch gar nicht. Die Vertragshändler haben sich ja fast mit dem Werk gesschlagen, wer denn nun eines der wenigen Mopeds für die regionalen Ausstellungen bekommen kann.

Die paar GTs die von Ausstellung zu Ausstellung gingen sind gar nicht kalt geworden. Nicht wegen der Besucher - Restwärme der Verpacker und Spediteure.

Before deciding to buy the GT, I had a 450 km test ride -my dealer loves me- on a K 1200 S. I fell in love with the frame, the engine, the whole package. However the riding position seriously harmed my back and neck.

One of the things I have stipulated on the contract is, I want to have Michelin Pilot Power fit on it, instead of the original tires. That is going to happen before it leaves the garage, even if I have to wait a day longer for delivery. Does anyone have any input ?

I'll be grateful.

A serious problem on the demo bikes was the horn. (hupe ?) It is no good at all. The other thing I specified was that I wanted the same horn as the R 1200 RT.

I think I`ll never used the horn on a motorbike !

Besides the horn, does anyone have information on the Pilot Power ?

I wanted the same radioCD as my R1200RT on the new orderd K1200GT.
I dont know if they can do it 'from factory' ? Is the 'radio glove compartement' bigg enough to putt a radio ? and what with the speakers, antenna ???

Anny suggestions ?

Hab mir das Teil heute noch mal richtig zu Gemüte geführt. Ist ein absolutes geiles Teil und sieht richtig scharf aus. Nur der Sound ist nicht das wahre. Aber da hab ich auch schon Ahilfe. Es gibt schon einen tollen Sound für die neue. Demnächst mehr...

wir waren gestern bei der Saisoneröffnung von der NL Nbg., da war auch der Projektleiter der GT und hat ein bisschen "Öffentlichkeitsarbeit" gemacht und teilweise sehr interessante Sachen erzählt, weil ich aber eine S fahre, hab ich das meiste schon vergessen, ausser das die Höchstgeschwindigkeit von angegebenen 252 km/h garantiert erreicht wird (war wohl ein Politikum für BMW das die so schnell laufen soll), das Benchmark für die GT die FJR war, die Heizgriffe sich auf Stufe 1 automat. von der Umgebungstemp. steuern, das Projekt GT vier Jahre gedauert hat, die Politik die hinter dem Farbprogramm steht, das man sich bewußt gegen den Einbau eines Radios entschieden hat (nach dem Motto, das Käufersegment wird von der RT abgedeckt), so Details zu Drehmoment (ab wann wieviel Nm usw.), Leistung, usw.
Wie gesagt für viele GT-Käufer wärs bestimmt interessant gewesen den netten Herrn mal zu interviewen, mich hätte nur ein Detail interessiert, nein zwei, wann kommt das ABS-System der neuen R12S auch in die K12S und ab wann gibts den Tempomat der GT auch für die S
