I have seen that the new Garmin 2820 will be available in June. It has the same capacities as the Navigator 3. Bluetooth and MP 3 plus RDS possibility.

I have also heard that there are issues with the cradle of Notter's Perfect Pilot. Is seems there are problems under heavy rain.

I have finally taken the decision regarding the GPS for the GT, and placed an order for a 2820. The decision maker was the capacity to make a bluetooth connection between my mobile phone and the screen of the GPS, to be able to use the screen to dial a number, and also see incoming calls. The integrated MP3 player is an added bonus.

I will also connect my phone to my Baehr installation via a phone cable. In principle, the sound of the phone will come through that cable, and the sound of the GPS will also come to my helmet via a cable connection to the Baehr.

I intend to use my bike for business trips, and need the phone. It is not that I want to sound like a snobbish idiot. I make a living by being able to be reached on the phone 24/7. Riding or being on vacation is not an issue for my clients or myself.

The mounting will occur as follows. First an original BMW adaptor on the bike. Then mount on that, a Garmin cradle that looks like the Navigator's cradle.

No cradle available, but I'll have it mounted on Monday.
