It really sucks having to ride here.

Rechberg gorge

Poser shot!

One more!
Pics taken in the backyard of my family.

Gaberl pass, brown, leftover bits of snow and not much growing yet.

Other side on the decent.

Gaberl pass is very cool. The road goes from Köflach to Zeltweg (B77) and realy has everything. From gorges to forrests and open fields, from high speed sweepers to blind follow throughs and hairpins. This particular road is high in my Top-5 of best roads in the Alps, even though at 1551m it is just a little bitty pass. Another highly recommended road in my Top-5 is the Packer pass (B70). This one goes from Twinberg to Köflach, making a nice lap and it is very spectacular. It doesn't always have to be high to be good. And the best part is, these two roads are completely unknown to the general public and almost completely lacking traffic. A true private racetrack. But beware, as on most roads in the Alps, mistakes are punishable by death.

Nice little church at the end of the B70 near Köflach.

GS? I don't need no stinkin' GS!

This is on the Salzstiegl. It starts really nice with a narrowing valley, nice turns and great road surface. Then, halfway up the road stops and you are left with gravel and GS territory for 3 miles to the top, including nasty hairpin turns. A few miles after the top, the road comes back and you can ride normal again.

Ruin Gösting, which gives a nice overview over the city of Graz.

Graz, that's what I said.
