Lucky you.

I'm taking the RS out at 1000 for one of my favorite rides in the Ardennes. Have a great time with your new baby. I guess I'm getting mine sometime this week.

I went for that ride. It was fantastic. 600 km in total. Unfortunately about 250 of them on motorways, but the rest, absolutely wonderful roads.

We had great weather, save for about an hour in France. A friend was on his HD Dyna Super Wide Glide Gillette Shaving Gel or something, in any case a Harley, one disk in the front, one in the back. He had no raingear, so he asked that we switch bikes. After a while, I got some sort of feeling for his HD, and started having fun. I tried leaning forward between the bars, and then hanging off in the turns. I started laughing so much at the idea that I must look ridiculous in a one piece Aerostich and wearing a day glow orange vest while on a Harley, trying to hang off, that I cried and got a belly cramp...

I summoned my own bike after 40 km and it felt like a bicycle. What a jewel she is.

I couldn't help feeling a bit of melancholy, thinking that this had been our last regular ride in the Ardennes together for a while. She's a sweet Lady, never let me down and still handles like butter. Unfortunately, I can't really take long rides on her anymore without getting a neck ache. However she's staying with me, and will tell our tales to her big little sister, which I hope to get sometimes this week.

I did something I promised myself not to, and called my dealer. The problem is, I need to sell some currency to pay for that baby, and needed to have an idea of when they'd need the cash.

It's supposed to have been built last week, and to be on the transport. No delivery date yet. So if it's not this weekend, it won't be a tragedy. My son is playing in a huge tournament and I'll go and watch him and his friends. Then when I get the beast, I'll bring it to Diest to have the comms installed and do the breaking in next weekend. A simple matter of forward thinking, and not getting overexcited.

I have loads of work, and am putting in 18 hours days. I don't mind. At this point, sleep is a waste of time.

I have to have a bite, then I'll run to Selbach to get the papers, then to the insurance. Tomorrow, I'll go to the immatriculation office to get the plate registered to the new bike. I also have to ask for a new one for the RS.

Yo Nanard,

Yes indeed, you'll see me in Lausanne pretty soon. I don't know how I'm going to travel there. It depends on the time I have available. If I can, I'll ride it. If not, I'll fly there and back the same day. Virgin has an excellent set of connections for this kind of trips. In any case, I'll let you know when I'm due.
